About Us

The Howard Park Civic Association is a non profit membership organization made up of residents, businesses, non profit and religious organizations in the community dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of life in Howard Park. HPCA provides community leadership addressing such issues as zoning, crime, beautification of the neighborhood, city services, and planning.
We also hold periodic social gatherings for the neighborhood, such as block parties, organized house tours and holiday festivities.

We appreciate your interest in the neighborhood. If you are a resident, please Join HPCA, come to meetings and let us welcome you personally to the neighborhood.

Mission Statement

The mission of this association shall be to support, promote, advance, and encourage the revitalization of the community as a thriving, safe and attractive place to live and work; to inform and educate the members of this association and the public about community issues; to provide a forum to address community objectives and issues; to build a strong community through communication, cooperation, planning and leadership; to build a strong partnership between business owners, property owners, tenants and residents to ensure community involvement; and to enhance the quality of life within the community.

Goals

Goal #1: Build a strong and involved membership organization that supports Howard Park and surrounding communities in increasing their capacity to achieve measurable results.

Goal #2: Define, strengthen and build new support mechanisms for Howard Park with public officials that enables HPCA to achieve a greater good for it's residents and businesses.

Goal #3: Generate new and expanded funds and resources to assist in the performance of community actions that increase our capacity to achieve results.

Goal #4: Increase the visibility of HPCA and its membership, and build expanded partnerships with like-minded organizations.
